Craniosacral Therapy

What is CranioSacral Therapy (CST)?
CST is a light- touch, whole-body treatment technique developed by John E Upledger, DO, OMM; works with the body’s craniosacral system to support and nourish the central nervous system- improving overall health and well-being.

Why choose CranioSacral Therapy (CTS)?
CST is a light-touch hands-on approach that can create dramatic improvements in your life. It releases tensions deep in the body to relieve pain and discomfort, and improve whole-body health and performance.

This hands-on technique is a great alternative to your traditional massage treatment, as some individuals feel vulnerable, they do not wish to disrobe and do not like a great deal of pressure. The applied pressure is very light, about 5 grams of pressure (the weight of a nickel).

Few systems have more impact on your central nervous system than the craniosacral system-the soft tissues and the fluid that protect your brain and spinal cord. So it is important to keep balanced and fluid.

Your body endures different stresses that cause tension in the body. This tension on the body can affect the brain and spinal cord through the craniosacral system. CST releases those tensions to allow the entire body to relax and self-correct finding the Physician within. Using light touch, the weight of a nickel, practitioners evaluate strain patterns and use CST techniques to release restrictions.

CST is so gentle it has been shown to be effective for all ages.
